Baby Necklace (Crassula marnieriana × perforata) grows stacked, button-like succulent leaves along upright to gently trailing stems. Its layered pattern makes a distinctive accent on a bright shelf or sunny windowsill. You’ll receive one live rooted plant in a 4-inch grow pot; decorative terracotta pots in styled photos are props and are not included.
Size and growth: Ships rooted in a 4-inch pot. As it matures, stems can lengthen and lean or trail; size and shape depend on light and growing conditions. Your individual plant may vary naturally from the photos.
Care guide
- Light: Give bright light with some gentle direct sun. Gradually acclimate to stronger sun to avoid scorch and preserve compact growth.
- Water: Water thoroughly only after the mix dries well, letting excess drain. Reduce watering in cooler, slower-growing periods; do not leave the pot standing in water.
- Soil: Use a gritty, fast-draining cactus or succulent mix in a pot with drainage holes. Ready to repot? Shop our Succulent & Cactus Soil Blend, hand-blended in small batches and sold separately.
- Humidity and temperature: Average indoor humidity is suitable. Keep warm and protect from frost and extended dampness.
- Feeding: During active spring and summer growth, feed lightly with a slow-release fertilizer, following the product label. Ready to feed? Shop our 2 oz Slow-Release Fertilizer for Houseplants & Succulents for steady nutrition for cacti and succulents. Skip feeding while growth is paused or during extreme heat or cold.
- Pruning: Trim leggy or damaged stems with clean tools; turn the pot occasionally for even growth.
- Repotting: Move to a slightly larger pot when roots fill the current container, handling brittle stems gently.
- Propagation: Stem cuttings can root after the cut ends have callused in a well-draining mix.
Pet and child safety: Baby Necklace Crassula is considered non-toxic to pets and children.
