Ginseng Ficus 20 Year Old Bonsai Houseplants, 8” Bonsai Pot.  Ficus Microcarpa in 8” Bonsai Pot.  20 years old!  Best in filtered sun, such as a sunny window with a little direct sun. A great Bonsai for beginners.  Warm temps, regular watering, and high humididty.  Prefers temps 65-80F.  Keep soil evenly moist and do not allow it to completely dry out. Dry soil can cause leaves to drop.   Same for misting, distilled or filtered water to avoid water spots on leaves.   Feed with a fertilizer diluted by half and only in spring and summer.  Pruning is required for the Bonsai appearance.  Pruning 1-2 times per year, remove any new growth on the root and trim back a few leaves from the branches.
